Statement of Work (SOW)
Background: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) shall provide comprehensive primary and specialty healthcare services to active-duty military personnel, retirees, and eligible family members at Madigan Army Medical Center. The NP shall independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of medical conditions, collaborating with other healthcare professionals and military staff as necessary.
Place of Performance: Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Tacoma, Washington
Period of Performance: 4 Option Years
Schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, excluding Federal Holidays. Work hours will normally be between 07:00-16:00 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. These hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution. The contractor shall not normally exceed 40 hours per week.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current, unrestricted license to practice as an NP in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
National certification from AANP or ANCC in a relevant specialty.
BLS certification (American Heart Association).
Valid DEA Registration.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing NP services in a primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or similar setting.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background investigation and credentialing process at MAMC.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct patient assessments, order diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Prescribe medications in accordance with federal and facility policies.
Document all care provided in the electronic health record (e.g., MHS GENESIS).
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate care.
Educate patients on treatment plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Participate in quality assurance, compliance reviews, and required trainings.
