Deputy Director of the SVI Program at Caduceus

Carlos E. Rivera Acevedo, DSW(c), LMSW, MBA, MSW-Clinical, serves as the Deputy Director of the SVI Program at Caduceus, where he provides executive leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for federally contracted programs supporting vulnerable populations. In this role, he partners with executive leadership to ensure program excellence, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and the successful execution of mission-critical initiatives for federal clients.

With more than a decade of experience in behavioral health, child welfare, and human services, Mr. Rivera Acevedo has held progressive leadership positions overseeing multidisciplinary teams, clinical operations, and program performance in high-tempo federal environments.

Prior to joining Caduceus, he served in multiple leadership roles supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), including Director of Mental Health and Assistant Program Director, where he led clinical services, quality improvement initiatives, staff development, and the delivery of trauma-informed care for unaccompanied children.

Mr. Rivera Acevedo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Social Work with a Clinical Concentration (MSW), and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Social Work (DSW), with research focused on trauma, resilience, and emotional regulation among adolescents in Puerto Rico.
